arc Funding

Most arc support for research is provided by response-mode funding within a number of different grant categories. All eligible applications are assessed on a competitive basis including peer review by external referees, whose written reports are considered by specialist sub-committees.

All arc committees and sub-committees consist primarily of independent scientists and clinicians from the research community with appropriate expertise and experience, together with independent allied health professionals, educational specialists, and lay members. Relevance to the aims of arc and scientific excellence are the two primary criteria by which all applications are judged. The overall success rate for grants is in the region of 25%.
