Role of the Education Strategy Committee
An Education Strategy Committee (ESC) is responsible for deciding on the strategies arc needs to employ to deliver on its educational aims. Its specific tasks are:
- To advise on the appropriate strategies for delivering education to both the public/patients and to health care professionals
- To advise on the nature, content and distribution of all patient and professional educational materials
- To advise on the nature, and support the establishment of, educational courses and other ongoing professional activities to all health care professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with musculoskeletal diseases
- To promote education about the musculoskeletal diseases amongst the general population, undergraduates in relevant subjects and health care professionals
- To identify research needs and implement programmes to enhance all of the above activities
